Hello!  

My Name is Makenzie Laurent, or for short just Kenzie.  My graphic design background starts with being a four year student at the University of Wisconsin Stout starting in 2018 and recently coming to an end in 2022. As I went on this design journey I learned a lot about myself. Including my love for branding, packing design, and overall just having fun with design. Around my third year I recieved an Internship position at a fairly new company Vaible Insights. My journey with them was a huge learning curve in the aspect of communication, logo design, inforgraphics, and social media. As of today I still stay in contact with them and sometimes do work on the side for them. 

 

My love for art started at a very young age. One of my favorite young memories is winning an art reward in elementry school for the best nature drawing. I then was excited to hear I would be the one planting our newest tree on the playground. That day I felt a spark of love for art, realizing that art is everywhere we go. Which may be the reason why I love spending time outside with my dog. There are so many textures, patterns, and principles of design everywhere, and the more I learn, the more I grow to love every detial of this world. 

 

As I go about my weekends and free time, one of my favorite things to do is pull out a canvas and start painting. I usually get inspired by pintrest to paint anything from abstract to realistic compositions. I also enjoy rollerblading, watching netflix series, and cooking.
